diving in
I read through the "Student Teacher Handbook" per request of my advisor, and let's just say it was a bit overwhelming. I know I prepared for student teaching for this fall, but I am just overwhelmed with all the requirements for next semester. I feel like I am breathing in as much air as I possibly can, because in January I will jump into this deep adventure of student teaching and won't get a breath of fresh air until I finish. So here I go...

drumroll please....
I have my placement! I am very excited to announce that I finally know where I will be in the spring and what I will be doing. I have been placed in a third grade class and my cooperating teacher's name is Mrs. Just. Next week when I go in to sub I plan on meeting her and the class! Now it is time to start preparing again for student teaching. I am taking two online classes, moving, working, and waiting for the spring. But may the rest of my time waiting be sweet and preparatory for me.

backwards and upside down
This blog is going to chronicle my time student teaching, starting in January. Until then I will chronicle my time preparing, the nervousness, and the anxiety. Thank you for joining me on this journey.
Confused
Disappointed
Detached
Lost
Lonely
These are words to describe that past months of my life. When I thought I had everything planned out, great things to look forward to, all of a sudden things changed. I can't pinpoint a certain time when things changed, maybe it was over a period of time and then it hit me. So here we are, in Indiana, when we were supposed to be in the Czech. I have faced so many disappointments in the past couple of months, but I have learned to look ahead and not give up. Although this certainly isn't the plan I had for myself and Kyle, I am learning to embrace it. So in light of what I have a lost, here is a brief list of what I have gained these past months:
Time being an auntie
Memories with my sister
Old friends
Job I enjoy
Teaching in Indianapolis
Husband
Parents, in-laws
I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me...Philippians 3:12
